Having graduated from the University of Bath with a degree in Modern Languages, Alan went on to have a long career in Retail. Initially he worked as a Training Store Manager with the Kwik Save Group, before moving on to work for BP Oil, firstly as a Regional Manager, but primarily looking after the organisation’s training and development needs.
In 2003, he took voluntary redundancy to become an independent Training Consultant, focusing on Food Safety, Management Skills and TeamBuilding, using the ‘great outdoors’.
Downtime usually finds him reading (mainly factual) books, fell walking in the EnglishLakes, travelling abroad, playing football and following his beloved Leeds United around the country.
