
Lesley graduated with an Honours Degree in Biology, Food Science & Nutrition in 1984. Following a brief period of research with the Tropical Development and Research Institute, she joined Tesco Stores Ltd as a food technologist and spent the next 11 years involved in supplier auditing, product development and the implementation of Quality Management Systems and HACCP.
In 1996 Lesley became self employed as a freelance food technologist and has been undertaking consultancy within the manufacturing, catering, storage & distribution sectors of the food industry since then, with her work including technical support, trouble-shooting and preparation for BRC certification.
Training was added as another ‘string to her bow’ in 2004, and she now combines consultancy with training in food safety (CIEH Levels 1-4), HACCP and Healthier Foods & Special Diets.
Having moved back to Gloucestershire in 2000, outside work Lesley enjoys walking with her dogs, gardening and sampling the great local food & drink.
