After studying hospitality at college, Sue spent two years undertaking a Hotel Management Training Scheme. This involved working in a range of hotels around the country, finishing at Oakley Court Hotel in Windsor where she remained after successfully completing the training.
In 1986 Sue was head hunted by local hotel group, Hatton Hotels, and moved to Gloucestershire to take up her role as Head Receptionist of Hatton Court. She spent 12 years at the hotel and was quickly promoted to Management, finally taking on the role of Sales and Marketing Manager, which she really enjoyed.
Sue joined Envesca in 1999 to assist Simon with the growing business. She played a vital role in the development and expansion of the company and ensured the smooth transition from a small family business based at home to a much larger organisation with an office in Gloucester City. She also saw the opportunity to expand the portfolio of courses, building relationships with specialist trainers in subjects such as First Aid and Fire Safety to the point at which Envesca now offers a wide range of over 40 courses.
Sue’s main responsibility is to develop the business, continually finding new ways to meet the needs of existing customers and engage with potential new clients. One of the most recent developments Sue has instigated is the ability to provide e-Learning via the new website. She also enjoys finding innovative ways to reach new customers using a range of social media and online marketing.
Outside of office hours, Sue enjoys spending time at home with Simon and Trudi the dog, shopping, gardening and being creative. She especially enjoys trips abroad and seeing the latest hit musicals in the West End.
