CIEH Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

Who Should Attend

This accredited one day course is suitable for employers who have identified a requirement for Emergency First Aid at Work in their First Aid Needs Assessment. The focus of the course is on preventing situations from becoming worse and learning the vital life saving skills that a trained first aider can use until additional help arrives.

What You Will Learn

By the end of the course candidates will:

- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a first aider
- Understand the legal requirements for first-aid provision
- Know the importance of accurate incident reporting
- Understand how to use first-aid equipment safely
- Understand the need to minimise the risk of infection
- Know the importance of assessing an incident
- Be able to undertake a primary survey
- Know when and how to call for help

Additional Information

Successful candidates will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years. The HSE strongly recommends that candidates attend an Annual Refresher Course.
