Above And Beyond Normal Service

I undertook the Level 4 Award in Health and Safety for Management course with Envesca. I have to admit, I was out of my comfort zone and very apprehensive. With the help and encouragement of Simon and other students on the course I completed the course. By the end of the week I had learnt a great deal about health and safety and also myself.  Simon was able to deliver the course to people of all levels, experienced candidates through to less able students and still managed to remain cheerful on the last day! He has an ability to get the message across and apply it with life situations without it becoming to textbook. Just to make sure he re-checked our understanding the next day. Four weeks later, I sat my exam and unfortunately I failed by a few marks. I am not sure who was more disappointed Sue, Simon or myself. I hate losing and especially failing at something that I had tried so hard to achieve. Through Envesca and Simon I received constructive feedback and some careful words of encouragement. Simon took time to meet with me and was available via the phone to clarify points if I had a concern. I believe that’s above and beyond the normal service of a training organisation. A few weeks later I re-sat my exam and Sue cheerfully informed me that I had passed with a credit. I would have no hesitation in recommending Simon, Sue and her team to other organisations or charities. I do believe their staff care about the person that’s been entrusted to them to mentor. Well done Envesca!
