Burford Garden Company - Case Study

Deep in the Oxfordshire countryside lies the Burford Garden Company. A 15-acre site with 145 valued team members, the family run company has developed from a small plant nursery to one of the largest shopping destinations in England.

A cozy indoor garden-themed café reminiscent of the charm you find at Burford Garden Company, featuring wooden tables and chairs surrounded by lush greenery. Potted plants adorn tables and shelves, while woven pendant lights hang from the ceiling, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The company boasts an extensive online presence as well as beautiful in-store operations, serving as home to a stylish café, an art gallery and numerous opportunities to give shoppers a unique and inspiring experience, whether looking to spruce up their garden or make home improvements.

As the company has expanded, the on-site café has too. That expansion presented new challenges and requirements to the Catering Manager at the time, who was responsible for the growth of the café.  Both he and the company needed to ensure that they were fully adhering to the food safety legislation and fulfilling their responsibilities, and that is when the partnership between Envesca and the Burford Garden Company was born.

Seven years on, the relationship between Envesca and the Burford Garden Company is still going strong.

New Café and Food Hall Manager, Nico Luca, reports that he feels confident that the whole team constantly adhere to the best practices in health and safety, a fact supported by their Five Star Food Hygiene Rating.

What Burford Garden Company have to say about us...

“Envesca have provided the company with both in-house training, focusing delivery on the specific needs of the business, and have welcomed staff members onto their public courses. In addition to this, they have worked closely in supporting the team with the creation and running of a new Food Safety Management System, tailored to our needs as a business.  I look forward to our working relationship growing further over the coming years.”
