Social Care Training Courses
Comply with Legislation. Maintain Standards. Protect Everyone.
Helping you to improve your policies, procedures, practice and performance.
Social care is a large and complex sector that covers primary, community and secondary health care settings such as hospitals, nursing and residential care homes, dentists and domiciliary care. Whatever setting you are in, it is vitally important that risks to those being cared for and to their care workers are sensibly and proportionately managed in ways that respect their rights, freedoms and dignity.
The law holds the business owner responsible
Safe practice is very important to the promotion of health and social care. There are many legislative measures and regulations to support health and safety at work. These are intended to protect people at work, those using services and the wider public. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Local Authority, Trading Standards and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) can all bring prosecutions against care providers who breach health and safety standards.
What this means to you
You are responsible for ensuring all your employees undergo mandatory health and social care training. Your services must meet the required standards and are safe, effective, caring, and responsive to people’s needs. If your workforce does not have these skills, values and competencies required to meet the CQC regulations, then you are putting those you care for at risk. When that happens, you and your business are also at risk.
Accredited Training
Most of our social care training courses are accredited by either Highfield Qualifications, one of the UK’s leading Awarding Organisations or Qualsafe Awards; also one of the largest Ofqual recognised Awarding Organisations in the UK.
This means that candidates undertake an invigilated examination at the end of a training course, and successful candidates will achieve a recognised qualification. There are lots of benefits of accredited social care training; these include:
- Accredited training boosts staff retention by satisfying employee ambitions and goals.
- Provides regulatory bodies, such as Environmental Health, CQC and the Health and Safety Executive, confidence in your business operation.
- Training your team to set standards helps improve your company’s performance.
- Highly trained, knowledgeable, and skilled staff leads to higher levels of customer satisfaction.
