Food Safety Training Courses
Comply With Legislation. Improve Standards. Ensure Safe Food.
Food poisoning outbreaks have a devastating effect on people, businesses and society.
Food safety training plays a crucial role in safeguarding individuals, businesses, and society from the detrimental impacts of food poisoning outbreaks.
Each year, countless people experience the distressing symptoms of foodborne illnesses, including diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and stomach cramps. Tragically, some even lose their lives due to these incidents. A significant number of these cases stem from consuming food that has been contaminated as a result of improper food hygiene practices during various stages of preparation, storage, or cooking.
Recognising the paramount importance of implementing and adhering to effective food hygiene practices is indispensable for any food business.
The law holds the business owner responsible
You have a legal obligation to comply with the stringent rules of the Food Safety Act 1990 and the various food hygiene regulations. These systems are fundamental to a “due diligence” defence. Failure to comply with these regulations can carry heavy penalties for companies in way of fines, poor staff morale, loss of business, a bad reputation and possibly even imprisonment.
What this means to you
You must implement and maintain “food safety management procedures” based on Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles. HACCP focuses on identifying the critical points in a process where food safety problems or hazards could arise and puts steps in place to prevent things from going wrong. In addition, you must keep and regularly review the correct documentation and records relating to your procedures.
Accredited Training
Most of our food safety training courses are accredited by Highfield Qualifications, one of the UK’s leading Awarding Organisations.
This means that candidates undertake an invigilated examination at the end of a training course, and successful candidates will achieve a recognised qualification. There are lots of benefits of accredited food safety training; these include:
- Accredited training boosts staff retention by satisfying employee ambitions and goals.
- Provides regulatory bodies, such as Environmental Health and the Health and Safety Executive, confidence in your business operation.
- Training your team to set standards helps improve your company’s performance.
- Highly trained, knowledgeable, and skilled staff leads to higher levels of customer satisfaction.

The Advanced Food Safety Refresher Course was brilliant! The trainer was very knowledgeable and expertly shared this with us, which was really helpful. I would describe the course using the following three words helpful, excellent and knowledgeable. The fact it was delivered via Zoom was brilliant, too, as it saved on travel and accommodation costs and was the best way to update my knowledge in these challenging times. The whole course was perfect – hats off to Mr Simon Ellis!!

My experiences of the Level 4 Food Safety course have been superb from start to finish. Being responsible for booking this course for a number of colleagues, I found dealing with the whole team at Envesca easy and informative. The information I received was thorough, and billing was a breeze. Sue and her team were a pleasure to deal with. The course itself was brilliantly delivered by Mel – it was insightful, interesting and engaging. The online delivery brought a group of individuals together from across the UK from several different roles and businesses – a great mix! I would highly recommend Envesca and this course to anyone looking for higher-level food safety qualifications.

As Learning & Development Manager for Avanti trains, I had looked for a company to deliver Level 4 Food Hygiene for our people. This will eventually lead them to become mentors and assessors for our Chefs within the company. Feedback from our attendees was glowing, and the positivity around the online training and how the trainers from Envesca had delivered the course was more than complimentary. This showed me that I had made the right decision to partner up with Envesca. Many thanks to Sue Ellis for the effort put in by your team to set this up so quickly for us. We will definitely be using Envesca again.
