The Find Coffee House - Case Study

David Orme wanted to create a coffee house in the centre of Cheltenham which was independent and celebrated local producers instead of a national chain.

In 2017 he opened the doors to The Find, a very special place where customers will find something unexpected and different to everything in Cheltenham.
David first contacted Envesca in September 2015, when he shared his plans to open The Find. As he came from a finance background with no previous catering experience, he wanted to ensure that he and his future team were fully trained and compliant.

“I wanted to ensure we met all our legal obligations from the beginning, and working with Envesca has made achieving that goal hassle-free and easy.”
David himself has achieved Level 2 and 3 qualifications in Health and Safety and Food Safety and completed his Personal Licence Holders qualification.

Before The Find opening, Envesca also delivered in-house Food Safety, Health and Safety, Fire Safety and Emergency First Aid training to David’s new team.

As well as the training, through Envesca’s consultancy services, we also helped David to set up his robust Health and Safety Management System, ensuring that he has all his policies, procedures and risk assessments in place.

Given the responsibility to train the security team in her new role, Claire lacked confidence in delivery and course planning. With our guidance she achieved the Highfield Level 3 Delivering Training qualification giving her the tools to create, implement and deliver numerous training packages.
